Vacuuming
Vacuum your rug once or twice a week to remove dust and grit. Use low suction and a flat vacuum head. Avoid rotating brushes or beater bars, especially on wool, handwoven, or delicate rugs. Vacuum both sides if possible.

Spill and stain care
Attend to spills immediately. Blot with a clean, dry cloth or paper towel. Do not rub or scrub. Use cold water only. Test any cleaning solution on a hidden area first. Avoid bleach and harsh chemicals.

Rotation
Rotate your rug every 3 to 6 months. This helps prevent uneven wear and colour fading, especially in high traffic areas or rooms with direct sunlight.

Sunlight protection
Avoid placing rugs in prolonged direct sunlight. UV exposure can cause fading over time. Use curtains or blinds where possible and rotate the rug to balance exposure.

Cleaning
Professional cleaning is recommended every 12 to 18 months. Do not steam clean or machine wash unless the manufacturer states it is safe. Wool, viscose, silk, and handwoven rugs require professional care only.

Underlay use
Always use a rug underlay. It prevents slipping, reduces wear, improves comfort, and protects both the rug and flooring. An underlay also helps the rug maintain its shape.

Shedding
Some shedding is normal, especially with new wool rugs. This will reduce over time with regular gentle vacuuming. Shedding is not a manufacturing fault.

Ventilation and moisture
Keep rugs dry and well ventilated. Avoid damp areas. If a rug becomes wet, lay it flat to air dry completely. Do not hang or fold while wet.

Storage
Roll rugs for storage. Do not fold. Store in a cool, dry place and wrap in breathable fabric. Avoid plastic wrapping and moisture.
